How it Works
For 3 consecutive days, you’ll follow a simple and delicious kitchari recipe made with split mung beans and basmati rice. This traditional Ayurvedic dish is easy to digest and packed with nutrients. You’ll also drink plenty of warm water and herbal teas to help stimulate digestion and elimination.
1 Week Prior:
Remove heavy-to-digest foods such as meat, fish, dairy, and processed snacks from your diet.
Focus on whole grains, fruits, vegetables, and herbal teas like Cumin Coriander and Fennel.
3 Days of Kitchari:
Eat only kitchari (a simple, easy-to-digest Ayurvedic dish made with split mung beans and basmati rice) for 3 consecutive days.
Drink plenty of warm water and herbal teas to help stimulate digestion and elimination.
1 Week After:
Gradually reintroduce new foods into your diet, starting with single ingredients each day.
Avoid heavy-to-digest foods for a week after the cleanse.

Pre-Cleanse Preparation (1 week prior)
To prepare your body for the cleanse, follow these guidelines:
Sip on CCF Tea throughout the day to aid digestion and detoxification.
Foods to avoid
Heavy meats and fish
Refined sugars like white sugar and high-fructose corn syrup
Fried foods and processed snacks
Artificial additives like MSG and preservatives
Cleanse Guidelines (3 consecutive days)
During the cleanse, follow these simple guidelines:
Eat Kitchari at 8am, Noon, and 6pm only. If you feel hungry between meals, have a small snack of dates or fruits.
Sip on CCF Tea throughout the day to assist the detoxification
Avoid any heavy exercise, electronic screens, and stimulating activities.
Kitchari Recipe
To make kitchari, you’ll need:
1/4 cup split mung beans (Soaked in water for atleast 2 hours)
1/2 cups basmati rice
2 cups water
Pinch of salt
1/4 teaspoon cumin
1/4 teaspoon coriander
1/4 teaspoon mustard seeds
1/4 teaspoon fennel seeds
1/4 teaspoon turmeric
1 tablespoon ghee
In a small pan heat ghee with mustard seeds, cumin coriander, black pepper and turmeric, cook on medium heat until you hear mustard seeds sputtering, shut off heat and set aside.
Combine the mung beans and basmati rice in a pot with the water. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 20-25 minutes or until the grains are cooked.
Combine the spices with the rice and mung bean. Season with a pinch of salt.
Post-Cleanse Guidelines (1 week)
After completing the 3-day cleanse, follow these guidelines for the next 7 days:
Gradual Reintroduction:
Day 4-5: Introduce only one new food per day
Avoid meat, candies, and processed foods
Foods to Add (if you eat meat):
Egg (Day 4)
Fish (after adding egg for a few days)
Meat (last)
Tips for Successful Reintroduction
Start with small portions of new foods
Listen to your body and stop if you experience discomfort or digestive issues
Focus on whole, unprocessed foods as much as possible
